| A special arrangement was made for joint sponsorships
of these cleft children with the Adventist Development and Relief
Agency which helps the poor people of the area in different ways.
The children of
Hais can now be brought to Sana'a for the cleft surgeries every two
or three months.
The charity medical
workers included doctor Ton Konigsveld from the Worldwide Services,
Holland, anesthetist Wahid Nazir from Aden, nurse Abdul Latif from
Sana'a and theatre nurse Ameena from Dagestan, Russia. Dr.Bona
Lotha demonstrated some newer and improved methods of cleft lip and
palate repair.
